VIEW TWO GALLERY - TECHNICAL INFORMATION
and NOTES FOR PERFORMERS
The performance space is a 3rd
floor 'white cube' gallery in an old warehouse building in the heart
of Liverpool's 'Cavern Quarter'. Regarding 'get-in', the bad news is
that we are in a pedestrianised area and there are 3 flights of
stairs up to the gallery. But you can unload from c. 100 yards away
and then park nearby for free in the evening. (Plus, we're really used to it and are always on hand to help.
And for 'get-out', you can
drive right up to the door after 11pm!) The good news is that, once
you're in, it's a really lovely, warm, intimate and welcoming space
that visiting musicians always seem to delight in.
We seat up to c. 50 people
in cabaret table set up plus some standing room and a small
adjoining bar area. Maximum capacity is about 80 (and it feels fine
with 20).
We have a small Challen
grand piano (which is at concert pitch and kept in good playing
condition), a basic PA and some
backline.
There is no 'theatre' lighting but
we light the 'stage' with floor lamps. (And the room with candles on
tables, so its always lovely!)
The space is a public gallery and
there is always an exhibition in place but we can clear space
for projection onto walls and can source projection equipment
locally if required.
